Injector FAQ
FAQ: What does “retro-fit” mean?
ERIKC Answer:Retro-fit means to add a component or accessory to something that did not have it when manufactured. In the case of the GM LT engine series, a fuel rail adapter as well as a wiring harness adapter are provided to ensure a perfect fit. These are bolt-on components, requiring no wiring or mechanical changes to the engine, and retaining OEM quality throughout.
FAQ: My injector is leaking externally from the seam in the housing, can it be rebuilt?
ERIKC Answer:No. If the injector has a body leak it must be replaced. Fuel leakage is very dangerous. If 2 or more injectors are leaking Externally from the body, and they were not damaged by removal, the entire set should be replaced.
FAQ: I will not be able to install my injectors for a couple of months. Should I have you service them now?
ERIKC Answer:Fuel injectors do have a shelf life. We would recommend waiting three or four weeks to get the service completed.
